FAQ

Everything you need to know about Markswipe

Is Markswipe free to use?
Yes. All input videos must be MP4 and no longer than 60 seconds. The free tier includes the full erase pipeline with a watermarked 720p preview; credits unlock the clean download at the processed source resolution but do not extend the input limit.
How long does it take to erase marks?
Processing usually takes about 2–7 minutes. Footage complexity and current service load can change the wait, and progress updates appear in the browser while the job runs.
Will the audio be preserved?
Yes. The audio track is kept untouched — only the visual marks you select are erased.
What video formats do you support?
MP4, up to 100 MB per upload.
How does the free watermarked preview work?
Free results are rendered at up to 720p with a Markswipe watermark. Credits unlock the clean download at the processed source resolution without the Markswipe watermark.
What happens to my videos?
Your upload is sent to our disclosed third-party processing provider and removed after processing reaches a final state, with bounded cleanup retries after interruptions. The watermarked preview is available to anyone who has its link during the disclosed retention period; the clean master at the processed source resolution stays private and uses a controlled download. Only upload videos you have the right to process.
Can I remove a mark that auto-detection missed?
Yes, when it stays in a fixed region. Draw a tight box around a custom logo, badge or overlay that automatic detection does not recognize. Box selection processes the same coordinates across the clip; it does not track a mark that moves around the frame.
Can I remove multiple marks at once?
Yes — select up to two areas per video in the eraser studio, and they are all cleaned in a single pass.
What results has the video eraser been tested on?
The advanced removal path passed validation on three different hardcoded-subtitle samples, preserving their audio and duration. A custom fixed corner mark was also removed with manual box selection. These are internal validation results, not customer case studies; your free preview is the evidence for your own footage.
When does video watermark removal work best?
A small fixed mark over a flat or slowly changing background is the strongest case. Detailed textures, rapid motion, scene cuts or subjects passing behind the selected region can leave a subtle reconstructed patch. Markswipe does not promise moving-object tracking or exact recovery of pixels hidden by a watermark.
